Balch: friends Jim and Lisa Demastus, Jim's father has stomach cancer, not expected to live much longer
Buckner: Pam's dad PSA levels high, suspected prostate cancer, surgery Tuesday
Holt: starting school this week, has Dr's appointments this week, ear infection
Morris: Billy May had aortic surgery due to anuerism, unresponsive, fever
Vernetti: Kim has appt Monday, hoping to get surgery scheduled this week

We raised $75.00 for backpack for believers, which is more than enough for 2 backpacks, so we will either get an extra backpack or buy some supplies to donate to Somerville Road Elementary.

Smith: got class a driving lic, has several job opportunities; hydroplaned Wed, spun, wrecked in ditch, no problems other than a flat tire

Sunday School in HD

We are currently in 3rd place to win the HD Television for our classroom. So start bringing guests every Sunday!!! We have until August 15!!!! Each guest counts twice and new class members count once.

Backpacks for Believers

All classes have been asked to donate 2 new backpacks filled with supplies which the youth will be handing out at the Dream Center Kids Camp on July 23. We will be taking up an offering again next Sunday and Kim will purchase the backpacks and supplies to be delivered to the Upper Room by July 18. So far we have collected $30.

Thank you Lord for our Salvation and for the freedoms we have as Americans! Happy Independence Day!

Bound: daughter, Kinsley, fell from 12 ft high dive, landed on her back and had no injuries except for a few minor scrapes
Morris: Elijah had no nosebleeds and didn't have to be cartherized
Smith: got an apartment; was allowed to move in without deposit, someone helped with utilities

Missions!!!!

Mr. Bill spoke to us this morning about water filters. A group, including myself, is going to the Dominican Republic in June and one of the things we are doing is taking water filters to the people in the sugar cane villages. There are over 6,000 sugar cane villages in the DR that do not have access to clean, safe drinking water. One of these water filters provide more than enough water for a family's daily drinking, cooking and cleaning needs. We are taking up donations in Sunday School between now and May 10, to go towards the purchase of water filters. I hope you will take this opportunity to help our team share the love of Christ with the people of the Dominican Republic by providing them with clean water.

Women on Mission meeting and event announcement

There is a Women on Mission meeting Monday, February 15 at 7pm at the Ministry Center Conference Room. ALL ladies are invited to attend. It would be great to have more younger ladies involved in this very important ministry.

Volunteers needed for the CCC soup kitchen
Thursday February 18: need people to cook pinto beans, cornbread, and dessert. Also need people to serve and share. You can sign up in the foyer or call the church office 353-8239.

Kirkland: David had eye surgery on Wednesday for detached retina; surgery went well, eye swollen, medicine making him sick

Vernetti: Amy Hull (mother of Taylor's friend) late 30's; has aggressive form of brain cancer; waiting to get results of tests that will determine whether or not she is a candidate for chemo and radiation; she has 5 children; this form of cancer is inoperable and has no known remission history
